After over a month of recovery, he received a notice to enlist on March 1, which impacted Su Ta Lv's performances and recording work, including the original two-year Vivaldi project. While in military service, Kung managed to obtain leave to temporarily rejoin the band. He completed his military service on March 31, 2011, and officially rejoined Su Ta Lv.
Kung's grandfather, Kung Hsing Tao (龔幸道), was a recording engineer in the pop music industry.
