Mari Annu is a Japanese actress, talent, and singer born in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan. Her real name is Fukumura Devi (福村デヴィ), nee Wasanti Devi Shesu (ワサンティデヴィ・シェス). She is the president of the Ayurveda Heritage Association and is affiliated with Yoshimoto Kogyo (吉本興業).

Mari Annu's father is Indian, and her mother is Japanese with Indian nationality. She is the eldest of three sisters, including model Puraba Shesu (プラバー・シェス) and actress Kumari Yuka (久万里由香). Her husband is Fukumura Yoshikazu (福村芳一), the principal conductor of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra.

She debuted in the Toho film "Jidosha Dorobo" (自動車泥棒) in 1964 while attending Yamawaki Gakuen High School (山脇学園高等学校). In the latter half of 1988, she joined Yoshimoto Kogyo. Although she was born and raised in Japan, she held Indian nationality until her marriage.
