Kim Hye Yeong is a South Korean actress, musical actress, television performer, singer, lyricist, and makeup artist. Born in Cheongjin, North Hamgyong, North Korea, she later became a naturalized citizen of South Korea. She is affiliated with School Bus Entertainment (스쿨버스엔터테인먼트).

Kim began her career as a stage actress in North Korea in 1992 and defected to South Korea in 1998. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Theater and Film from Dongguk University (동국대학교).

Kim married a South Korean Army doctor in 2002, but they divorced in 2005. She remarried actor Kim Sung Tae (김성태) in 2009, and the couple had a son, for whom she currently has full custody.
