He then made his debut as a solo artist in 2001 with the studio album, "Junyfore Vol. 1". Then, in 2004, he opened a vocal academy which has nearly 40 branches around the country.
However, his wife became ill and the couple began facing financial difficulties, so, following the doctor's recommendation that her wife needed better weather, he decided to quit his career and moved to Guam in early 2004.
He returned to TV in 2015 when he appeared as a contestant in "I Can See Your Voice Season 2". Since then, he has resumed his career as a soloist.
