Before debuting, he spent nearly 2 years as a trainee at IST Entertainment (IST엔터테인먼트). He first appeared on TV as a contestant in the survival show "Boys II Planet", where he was eliminated in the 8th episode.
He then became part of the official lineup of IST's new group. In January 2026, they released the OST “One Last Chance” for the drama "No Tail To Tell" as their first pre-debut single. He made his debut in March of that year as TUNEXX's maknae with their first mini-album, "Set By Us Only".
