During his life he had been attached to TBS Broadcast theater company and then Aoni Production, Production Baobab and became a director of his own agency 21st Century FOX. He was attached to Aoni Production at the time of his death. He was also the mentor of Yamaguchi Kappei.
In addition to Doraemon, other famous roles include 007/Great Britain in Cyborg 009, Dracula in Kaibutsu-kun, Kemuzo Kemumaki in Ninja Hattori-kun, Payan in Perman, Iyami in Osomatsu-kun, Quackerjack in Darkwing Duck, Karino Benzo in Kiteretsu Daihyakka, Horrorman in Soreike! Anpanman, and Conductor in Galaxy Express 999.
Kimotsuki died from pneumonia at the age of 80 on October 20, 2016.
