He made his debut in April 2013 as HISTORY's rapper and sub-vocalist with the single album "Dreamer" featuring the narration of fellow labelmate IU. However, after several music releases and comebacks, Fave Entertainment (페이브엔터테인먼트) began analyzing if the group was worth keeping together.
In May 2017, the agency announced the group would be disbanding, and each member would focus on individual activities.
After the group was disbanded, he began using the stage name Nano, and he continued his activities as a composer and singer-songwriter. He debuted as a soloist with the single "Forever You and I" in February 2018.
He enlisted in his mandatory military service on December 12, 2019, and was discharged on June 26, 2021.
He is currently the leader of the producer team VENDORS, which was initially formed alongside former HISTORY groupmate Jang Yi Jung (known as El Capitxn).
In 2023, he founded the music production company Billion Music (빌리언뮤직).
