He made his debut in 2012 as a member of the boy group K-BOYS under the stage name Seong Ri A. The group was not successful and stopped promoting after their first album but never officially disbanded.
In 2017, he entered "Produce 101 Season 2" but was eliminated in the 2nd round. However, he joined 6 other contestants, and he became the leader, vocalist and dancer of the project group RAINZ. The group debuted with the single album "Sunshine" and disbanded a year later after they finished their concerts in Japan.
He sang some OSTs for dramas such as "Borg Mom", "The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed", "Woman of Dignity", and others. He then switched to trot and entered "Voice Trot" in 2020 and "Mr. Trot 2" in 2022.
