Before debuting, he spent 4 and a half years as a trainee at DSP Media (DSP미디어), and he and his groupmate J.Seph were supposed to debut as a hip-hop duo, but the agency changed the plans and placed them in a co-ed group instead.
He made his debut in July 2017 as KARD's main dancer, lead rapper and sub-vocalist with their first EP, "Hola Hola".
He made his debut as a solo artist in June 2021 with the single "Broke Me". He also hosts a podcast called "Get Real" with former LADIES' CODE member Ashley and BtoB member Peniel.
In November 2023, UTA (United Talent Agency) announced that it was now representing KARD everywhere, aside from Asia.
