He participated in JTBC’s survival show "MIXNINE" (under his birth name), ranking 3rd and earning a spot in the final project group. However, due to contract disputes between YG Entertainment and the agencies from the selected trainees, the debut was ultimately cancelled. He legally changed his name after the show ended.
He switched agencies and made his debut in March 2019 as 1TEAM's leader, lead vocalist and visual with their first mini-album, "Hello!". Unfortunately, Live Works Company (라이브웍스 컴퍼니) decided to terminate all the members' contracts and 1TEAM disbanded a few weeks before their first anniversary.
He is out of the entertainment industry and works as a tattoo artist (using the name Colin).
