Shin Jung Hwan
- Name: Shin Jung Hwan
- Native name: 신정환
- Also Known as: 申廷煥, Shin Jeong Hwan
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Male
- Born: May 10, 1975
- Age: 51
He made his debut in 1994 as ROO'RA's vocalist with their first album, "Roots of Reggae". The concept of a co-ed hip hop and dance-pop vocal group immediately attracted many fans, and they became one of South Korea's most popular musical acts of the 1990s. However, he left the group less than one year later when he enlisted for his mandatory military service and was replaced by Chae Ri Na.
After being discharged, he re-debuted as part of the duo COUNTRY KKOKKO with their first album, "Oh! Happy". They were managed by World Music Entertainment and took the Korean music industry by storm, producing various concepts of exciting and comical music from dance to rock. However, their popularity began decreasing with their 4th and 5th album, and their agency declared bankruptcy, effectively ending their contracts and disbanding the duo in 2002.
In 2004, he formed a temporary duo with Go Young Wook called SINNAGO: ROO'RA MAN (신나고 (룰라맨)), releasing the single "Sinnago: Project One". They released a second single in 2008 called "The Reason Why I Hate Winter".
He began facing several controversies as he was caught gambling (which is illegal in South Korea), first in 2005 and a more serious incident in 2010 when he failed to show up at one of his scheduled recordings. He lied about being hospitalized in the Philippines with dengue fever, but the media reported he lost all his money and his passport while gambling there. In January 2011, he was indicted without detention for habitual gambling and violation of the Foreign Exchange Trade Act as well as the Passport Act.
After being away from the entertainment industry for several years, he made a comeback as a broadcasting jockey (BJ) for FlexTV in 2023 and also opened his YouTube channel.
