Kim Hak Rae is a South Korean comedian and businessman. He graduated from Daeshin High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, both in Precision Mechanical Engineering and from Hongik University. He also obtained a second master's degree in Business Administration from Konkuk University. Before debuting, he was a frequent host at university festivals so he was scouted by KBS Radio and began hosting public broadcasts. He then made his debut as a comedian in 1977 in a special selection as a guest comedian at KBS show "Humor No. 1". As a result, his career was limited to minor roles or secondary sketches as he was not part of an open recruitment for comedians at any network. In 1990, he married fellow comedian Lim Mi Suk, who is 10 years younger than him, so he had to fight through both families' opposing the relationship and even other comedians who courted Lim. In 1991, the couple moved to SBS as the network began creating more comedy shows and both enjoyed a stable time with regular on-screen appearances. He now owns a very successful Chinese restaurant and also opened his Youtube channel with his wife and son often talking about different subjects such as cars, cooking or fashion.
