He made his debut in April 2019 as DONGKIZ's leader, lead vocalist and main rapper with their first single album, "Dongkiz on the Block". The group enjoyed some initial success but, after 3 years, Dongyo Entertainment (동요엔터테인먼트) decided to make changes to the lineup and the group's concept, re-branding as DKZ in March 2022.
However, he had been on hiatus due to a shoulder injury since August 2021. His doctor advised him not to continue as his injury will require constant rehabilitation in the future. So, as part of the re-brand, the agency agreed to terminate his contract and he left the group in March 2022.
He remains out of the entertainment industry for the time being.
