Mona Marbella Al Alawi, better known by her stage name Mona Louise Rey, is a Moroccan-Filipino actress, and commercial model.

Mona, the youngest of four siblings, was born to a Filipino mother, Fatima Marbella, and a Moroccan father, Samier Al-Alawi. Due to her father's problems, Mona's mother separated from their father while pregnant with Mona and came home to Manila in 2004. Mona's parents decided that her three older siblings (Amira, Hashim, and Ivana), stay with their father until 2006. Mona and her family are born-again Christians.

Mona suffers from Type 1 diabetes, a disease she was diagnosed with in 2011, the year she started her career in showbusiness. She is the only one in her family who suffers from the illness. As a result, she has to maintain a strict daily regimen of insulin self-injections and avoiding foods and drinks rich in sugar and carbohydrates.
