So Chan Hwi
- Name: So Chan Hwi
- Native name: 소찬휘
- Also Known as: So Chan Whee, 김경희, Kim Gyeong Hui
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Female
- Born: January 20, 1972
- Age: 53
She made her debut in 1998 as a guitarist for the rock band EVE (이브). Then, in 1992, she won the silver prize at the SBS New Generation Music Festival for a pop ballad song she wrote the lyrics for and began recording OSTs for several dramas.
In 1995, she joined as the new lead vocalist of the co-ed group CUBE (큐브) but left after recording an album with them.
She then made her debut as a solo artist in 1996 with the album "Cherish". The lead single, "Breakup Chance", became widely known in karaoke bars, and she began promoting the song on TV shows. However, CUBE released the same song and ended up in a tense legal dispute for the copyrights.
In 1997, her second album, "Then To Now", managed to increase her popularity, and she began touring around the country. Eventually, she found her mega-hit when her fourth album, "First Bridge", was released in 2000. The lead single, "Tears", remains one of the men's favorite songs to sing in karaoke as her challenging vocals continue to amaze listeners.
From 2001 until 2006, she worked as a professor of Practical Music at Woosong College. Then, she moved to Daegyeong University, where she served in the same position between 2010 and 2022. She was then promoted to Department Head of the K-Pop Modern Music Department.
She is represented by Wide Entertainment (와이드엔터테인먼트).
