  • Also Known as: Jung A, 김정아, Kim Jeong A
  • Nationality: South Korean

  • Born: August 2, 1983

Kim Jung Ah is a South Korean singer, dancer, and former member of KISFIVE (키스파이브) and AFTER SCHOOL (애프터스쿨). She graduated from Sangmyung University College of Education Affiliated Girls’ High School.

She was expected to debut in SZ as the group had already debuted in 2000 and was going through a lineup change after their first album. However, before she could be introduced as a new member, the group disbanded.

She made her official debut in February 2005 as KISFIVE's vocalist with their first single album, "First Kiss". Unfortunately, the agency mismanaged the group, and it disbanded less than 6 months later due to lack of activity.

In January 2009, she re-debuted as AFTER SCHOOL's main vocalist and lead dancer with their first single album, "New Schoolgirl". They received attention for their unique live performances, often incorporating different performance styles into their songs, including drums, tap dancing and pole dancing.

However, Pledis Entertainment (플레디스 엔터테인먼트) began their history of mismanaging girl groups with them, as their concept of having "admissions and graduations" and allowing the members to join or leave in a natural way did not give any stability to the group.

In July 2011, she joined sub-unit A.S. RED, formed after the fans voted. Together with the other sub-unit, A.S. BLUE, they released joint single albums. A.S RED's album included the singles "Hollywood" and "In The Night Sky". She was part of all activities and became the new leader when Kahi graduated from the group in 2012.

In late 2015, Pledis halted all promotions and activities and, AFTER SCHOOL, never released any new material again. In January 2016, she decided to leave the group after her contract expired.

In 2018, she married basketball player Jung Chang Young, and the couple has 2 children.

The group officially disbanded in December 2019 when all members left Pledis, but it has been inactive since late 2015.

In June 2021, she joined 4 other former AFTER SCHOOL members for a reunion in the SBS and online show "MMTG", performing two of their biggest hits, "Diva" and "Bang". She is currently not represented by any agency, as she rarely appears on TV.
