He made his debut in December 2016 as UNIVERSE's center, lead vocalist and dancer with their first digital single, "I'll Be There" (sung in Mandarin). The group became the first South Korean idol group to officially debut in Taiwan instead of their own country. Their agency, CHITWN Music (샤이타운뮤직), originally wanted them to return to training and prepare for their South Korean debut in early 2019. However, this was delayed when 3 of the original 5 members were replaced without any explanation.
He finally debuted in South Korea in February 2020 with the digital single, "Timeless". Unfortunately, they did not release any new material afterwards, and while they have not officially disbanded, they have remained on an indefinite hiatus since 2022.
He is now part of a DJ and MC duo called IOMA, where he performs as MC, dancer and sometimes singer at special events and in nightclubs.
