He debuted in 1997 as the main vocalist and maknae of the group with the single "Do" and the fans and media were quick to put them in a rivalry with NRG. He wrote and composed the song "Only You" and his solo song "Without" that were both included in the group's 3rd album. After a meteoric rise, the band suddenly faced disbandment in late 2001 as their agency, Masscom, faced many financial problems that ultimately caused the end of the group.
He decided to pursue a musical acting career and debuted in 2003 with a role in the musical "Gas"and later in "Footlose". He also went into acting with a role in the 2006 series "Family Love History". He took a 2-year break from the industry when he enlisted in his mandatory military service and later went back to school. In 2019, he reunited with his former groupmates when TAESAJA appeared in an episode of "Two Yoo Project Sugar Man Season 3". He now seems to be more focused on his singing career once again.
