Jane Zhang is a Chinese singer-songwriter and music producer born in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. She attended college at the Sichuan University School of Foreign Languages.

In 2005, she officially debuted in the Hunan Satellite TV entertainment program "Super Girl 2005" (2005超级女声), placing third runner-up. In January 2006, she released her first music EP, "Jane Love". In October, she released her first album, "The One", for which she won the China Gold Record Award. In 2007, she held a concert at the Pasadena Grand Theatre in Los Angeles, USA, becoming the second mainland Chinese singer to hold a concert in the United States after Cui Jian.

In 2009, she made an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2010, she attended the Grammy Awards and won the Most Outstanding Asian Artist Award.

In late 2016, she released "Dust My Shoulders Off", which became the first song by a Chinese artist to enter the U.S. digital download charts. In 2017, she was a guest performer at the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
