He made his debut in May 2013 as LC9's lead vocalist and rapper (under the stage name J-Hyo) with the mini-album "Skirmish". However, the group was not able to promote much, and when their contracts ended in December 2015, Nega Network (내가네트워크) decided not to renew them and they disbanded.
He then re-debuted in August 2016 as part of CIRCUS CRAZY (now using the stage name KI-ZO) with their first single album, also titled "Circus Crazy". They were managed by W2B Entertainment (W2B엔터테인먼트) but struggled to find opportunities to promote and eventually disbanded in early 2018.
He switched agencies and re-debuted in October 2021 after joining LU4US. The agency, JMG, a subsidiary of LocalHigh Records (로칼하이 레코즈), represented them at the time and decided to add him to replace a departing member. He joined for their digital single "My Love" and changed his stage name to Hyoya.
Unfortunately, the agency ended his contract in 2023 and is now without representation.
