His first lead was the precocious teenage hero of "Thirteen" (1973), and he fulfilled many a teenager's dream when he was cast as Jenny Hu's young lover in "Young Passion" (1974).
Wang made approximately thirty films at Shaw Brothers, concluding with "The Young Vagabond" (1985). He gradually quit the film business after the contract with Shaw Brothers expired, and he was involved in various business pursuits. He also has occasional roles, including a part in the television series "Legend of the Warring States" (1996).
