🦋WELCOME TO MY PAGE! 🦋

I usually change my theme each month, but new MDL bugs have appeared on top of the ones from last month. It's just too frustrating to deal with at this time. Looks like I'll be sticking with flowers and butterflies for June, make that July.

My Best Boys have their birthdays in July-HAPPY BIRTHDAY GONG YOO AND WOO DO HWAN!

BIO

I started watching Asian dramas around February 2019.  Eternal Love (TMOPB) was my first drama and my first love.  Several months later I found Goblin and fell in love again, this time with Kdramas.  I’m always searching for another drama that will make me fall in love all over again.

I enjoy romance, character development, capable women, compelling storytelling, and strong relationships whatever form they may take. I'm an omnivore when it comes to dramas and movies, I'll watch about anything from any time period.  Zombies and dramas labeled fluffy are not included in my viewing diet.  Currently, I watch more films than dramas. Every March I have my own Martial Arts Marathon.  October is the Monster Mash Marathon.  Additionally, I have a Black and White Marathon and Women Directors Marathon. I watch films and dramas from all of the countries included on MDL, and for now, only on legal sites.  While I watch sad movies and dramas, I prefer happy endings.  I don’t care if it’s boy-girl, boy-boy, or girl-girl I want everyone to live happily ever after.♡♡♡

My rating system explained, tongue in cheek.

 {1}  MEGA-LOATHED

This is the ex who friends thought was perfect for you.  He makes you ragey and stabby at the mere mention of his name.

{2}  HATED

This is the ex who makes you feels slightly less stabby but still feel ragey at the mention of his name.

{3}  LOATHED

You can hear his name, but his face still makes you ragey.

{4}  DISLIKED INTENSELY

He looked good in a pair of jeans, but now you just have regrets.

{5}  DISINTERESTED

You honestly can’t remember going out with him.

{6}  LIKED WITH RESERVATIONS

He was handsome, smart, and had money but could only talk about himself.

{7}  LIKED WITH MINOR RESERVATIONS

Nice guy, perfect SML, the relationship just lacked the passion you were searching for.

{8}  REALLY LIKED

This guy was really close, maybe too close to his mother.  But otherwise, hard to lose.

{9}  LOVED

You could be happy with this person, but there was something missing.

{10} CLOSE TO PERFECT

A rating reserved for first loves in a genre.

An addendum to understanding my ratings:  Everything I watch starts at 7.5 (good average entertainment) and then the rating goes up or down from there. I rate pre-1990's kung fu and kaiju movies on a curve.  They were usually cheaply made for a niche audience.  I also give silent films from the1920s and 30s some leeway as they were breaking new ground in filmmaking, storytelling, and acting.  The dramas and movies that I've rated as 10s were the first in a particular genre that made me fall in love with it.  They were also from early in my drama watching life and would be rated lower now.  They may not be perfect, but they hooked me into the Asian drama and movie world, so I left them at 10's.  These reviews were among my first and are a bit clunky.  I left them as they were as well.

My only 10s.

WATCHLIST EXPLAINED

CW: It stresses me out to try and keep track so I rarely use it.

PTW:  So many dramas, so little time

On Hold: It's not you, it's me

Dropped:  Oh, yeah, it's you, not me

Since 2024 I've been trying to write a review on whatever I've watched. I have learned that you don't criticize oppa or noona's acting!
