He was considered one of South Korea's first-generation broadcast streamers, beginning his broadcast activities on AfreecaTV in the early 2000s before expanding to Twitch and YouTube in 2002.
On September 6, 2025, he was found dead in his home after he had not shown up for an appointment and was not responding to his phone. Police officers did not suspect any foul play, but an autopsy was conducted to find the cause of death. He was 46 years old. His funeral took place on September 9 at Konkuk University Hospital.
