He made his debut in September 2017 when he joined MASC for their third single album, "Do It". The group debuted in August 2016, but the company, J Planet Entertainment (제이플래닛엔터테인먼트, formerly known as JJ Holic Media and Isam Media), wanted to add new members to have more variety within the group.
In February 2018, he went on hiatus for undisclosed reasons. Then, in July 2018, he revealed that he had suffered from mental trauma as he was physically attacked by fellow member Kim Dae Sung (formerly known as ACE) and posted images on social media detailing the incident. Both were interviewed separately, and the prosecutors acknowledged the unilateral assault against him. Kim apologized, but the agency decided that both members should leave the group. He announced his departure from MASC in July 2018.
A few months later, he joined MustM Entertainment (머스트 엔터테인먼트) and was set to debut as part of MUSTB (머스트비). He even recorded the group's debut single and corresponding MV, but the company announced he was leaving the group for personal reasons, one month before debuting.
He appeared in the survival competition "Youth Star" (청춘스타) in 2022, but he was eliminated in the earlier rounds.
After the show, he was revealed as a member of OCJ Newbies, a team of trainees under One Cool Jacso Entertainment (원쿨잭소 엔터테인먼트).
