During the Korean War, he enlisted and fought on the front lines, and after the war, he was active in a theatre group.
Since then, action such as 'A Bonanza' (1961), 'The Marines Who Never Returned' (1963), 'Black Hair'(1964), etc.
He also won the Best Actor Award at the Asia Pacific Film Festival for his excellent performance in Manmubang (1994), which returned after a long break in the 1980s.
