Mak Gei was a Hong Kong actor born in Hong Kong. He was known for "The Story of a Discharged Prisoner" (1967) and "When Durians Bloom" (1959). After retiring in 1999, he moved to the United States, divorced twice, and had two daughters and a son, all living abroad. He returned to Hong Kong to do evangelical work. He died on July 6, 2014 in Hong Kong.
