Kobayashi Toshiko

In 1949, she was scouted by director Kinoshita Keisuke of Shochiku and debuted in the film "Yabure Daiko." She officially joined Shochiku in 1950 and studied at the Haiyuza Training School for a year under Kinoshita's guidance.
In 1956, she married film director Teshigawara Hiroshi, with whom she had three daughters.
In 1960, she left Shochiku to become a freelance actress, performing in films and on stage for various companies.
