She was later diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome, a side effect from her medication.
On November 30, 2019, she returned to perform the opening production on It's Showtime.
Janine is also a member of the girl group New Gen DIVAS together with Elha Nympha, Sheena Belarmino and Zephanie.
