Before debuting, he was a trainee at Wakeone and participated in the survival show "Loud" but was eliminated in the 8th episode. He then appeared as a contestant in "Boys Planet" but was once again eliminated in the 11th episode. He then decided to leave the agency and signed with YY Entertainment (YY엔터테인먼트).
He made his debut in Japan in September 2023 as TOZ's main dancer with their first mini-album, "Flare". After several successful concerts, the agency decided to expand its fanbase, and it debuted in South Korea in May 2024 with the mini-album, "To My New Friends".
In October 2025, YY Entertainment announced that after several conversations with the group members, it had decided to end all activities and disband TOZ.
