In 1991, she appeared in her first commercial for "Orange Sidemeat" (橘子豬) and made her film debut in "Very Detective" (非常偵探) in 1994. Mavis released her first album, "Rain" (雨), in 1995.
In 2012, her mother officially released her first solo album under the stage name "Miss D.D.," which Mavis produced. She joined Ching Tian Entertainment (青田娛樂) in August 2001 and later formed the band "Mavis Fan & 100% Band" (范曉萱&100%樂團) in August 2007, releasing the audiovisual album "Breakthrough" (突破) through her independent production company, "Eating Grass Fish" (吃草的魚).
