He made his debut in July 2010 (under the stage name L.Joe) as the group's lead rapper, vocalist and visual with their first single album, "Come Into The World".
In February 2017, he filed for a nullification of his contract from TOP Media. He wanted to have more solo activities/promotions, but the agency restricted him, and he filed a lawsuit. He eventually left TEEN TOP a few weeks later.
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on March 29, 2021, and was discharged on September 28, 2022.
He is currently represented by KH iHQ (KH아이에이치큐) and is now focusing on his acting career.
