LGBTQ ke? I don't understand how most of you here are convinced that lady Ok's husband created a foundation for…
You're Nigerian, so I'll explain it as simply as I can, he's gay. I'm gay. People are gay in this world. All over the world and in Korea too, In Morden times and across history.
People are currently gay in Nigeria and people were also historically gay in Nigeria too. Being gay is a reality.

Also, if you want to watch another light hearted, to some extent queer movie like this one, the actor who played Suho in this movie, Jung Hwi acted in another queer movie called 'Love on the Rooftop' with an amazing actor Lee Hongnae.
Bl fans have doom rated this beautiful movie from 8.3 to 7.9 in less than two days.
The day you guys realize that queer media can exist and be showcased in numerous forms and perspectives and focus on different aspects of the queer experience, is when you guys will properly interact and appreciate movies and stories like these.
The directors and writers of the two adaptations of the original book weren't trying to surpass each other. The two adaptations were acted and released together to co-exist and express the queer experience from different perspectives and portrayals.
The movie has been sitting at a rating of 8.3 and was appreciated properly by those who went out of their way to watch this beautiful story in cinemas. By those who understand the importance of telling a story of a gay guy and his support system.
It's really telling that once this movie became available for streaming this week and bl fans who have been screaming that this movie "straight-washed" the book, finally watched it, the rating dropped significantly, even though it has been clearly stated that the focus of this movie adaptation is the first chapter with the MC and his best friend.
It's disappointing, but not surprising that it took a steamy kiss scene that went viral on twitter for many bl fans to actually give this amazing piece of queer media a chance. You guys don't prioritize the queer experience in the bls you watch. A piece of queer media is only worthy to you guys if there is something in it you can fujoshi out about.
And you are free to have that mindset, if you want to. It is your choice, at the end of the day. But rating this movie very low, because it didn't meet the imaginary fujoshi standards you have in your mind, is such a sad thing to do.
Always keep in mind that the writer of the book greenlit both the movie and series adaptation. If he sees the importance of telling this story, what standards exactly are you using to judge the queerness and validity of the story being told in the movie? Are you insinuating that a gay man would permit the "straight-washing" of a book so deeply personal to him?
Does someone know who the main pairing is? The summary included Go Yeong being with Gyu Ho, but they break up.
There is no 'main' pairing. He breaks up with all of his boyfriends)hook-ups at the end of the book, but he still loves gyuho.
There's no main pairing as it's more of a queer drama, than a bl. The focus is on the main character and how each of his relationships be it family, romantic or friendship affect him as his journey discovering himself as a gay person.
But it is very romance heavy. So, at least you can enjoy the romance, until they all ultimately end
The writer of the novel consented to both the movie and the drama being adapted into real life, because he knows the two stories are important to tell.
As a queer person, having that one friend who was close to me in uni and a little bit after before they moved away last year after graduation was everything to me. They were a constant source of reliance and support for me, just by their existence.
A non-queer person might not understand why it's important for stories like this to be told. Not many queer people have queer friend groups and that one friend who you can confide in and share your experiences with, is literally your saving grace sometimes as you exist in your queerness.
The director Lee Eonhee is a genius because she was somehow able to properly depict the lived experiences of me and many other queer young people.
The two adaptations existing, with the themes they focus mainly on friendship/family and slight romance VS heavy romance and slight family/friendship will obviously be treated differently.
It doesn't mean that because the romance heavy drama was made that this story was told out of convenience on the director's part. Both are important and precious in their own beautiful way.
Ps: I'm rewriting my comment to someone below as a general stand alone commentary on this movie, because the person I replied to down below edited their comment and blocked me, so I can't edit my comment to them or reply to correct the fact that they edited their entire comment, since I pointed out the fact they accused Lee Eonhee of adapting the book to a movie focusing on the first chapter alone, just because the main focus of the movie is friendship and the found family of queer people, wasn't done to erase the queerness of the movie.
I don't understand how people can be so ingenuine. If you're corrected on something wrong by a queer person, blocking them and changing your entire comment only makes me look bad for correcting you, especially since I can no longer edit my own comment too, and all they can see, is your now edited comment.
It deals with more heavy themes than a 'bl' would.
HIV, family life, religious trauma, multiple partners (unlike bls), more realistic ending (queer relationships don't always end in happily ever after, and it is portrayed here, in the best way possible for each of his multiple relationships/hook-ups).
So the movie just took one part of the novel, the one about friendship, thus avoiding all hate but benefiting…

Judging by how you worded your comment, I don't think you are queer. So, you might not understand why it's important for stories like this to be told. Not many queer people have queer friend groups and that one friend who you can confide in and share your experiences with, is literally your saving grace sometimes as you exist in your queerness.
So yes, the one who made the movie is a genius, but not for what you think. The director, Lee Eonhee is genius because she was somehow able to properly depict the lived experiences of me and many other queer young people.

I know the main theme is self-discovery (super interesting) and there will be tough scenes but in the romance…
His journey to where the novel ends is fulfilling at the end.
He's got HIV really early in the novel chapters. It properly tackles STD and stigmas around HIV, so it will hopefully bring even more awareness, when it is adapted and starts airing.
Can you please tell me why FL wanted an abortion and why she decided to give birth?
She felt she could be a good mother. Nothing major happened. She just read something from someone who contemplated giving birth or not, just as she was too.
He's gay. It's the truth

The write-up she read made her change her mind.
