My GF made me addicted to K-Dramas, since I'm very obsessive/compulsive, now it's me suggesting me to her what to watch, after I watched so many of them (Still adding some on my "complete" list).
I really enjoy k-drama, who took over my daily videogame time in the last months, because they are definitely different from the mainstream blockbusters tv shows. Of course there are many amazing of them, but except a few ones, they don't have a particular reason to be watched, unless you are really a fan of the genre. And the great ones you missed, just thinking there are 6-8 Seasons to watch, you feel like your already little time..will be totally gone. K-Drama, being usually only one season, deliver an amazing experience, and they don't restrict them to a "single genre" - there are several themes/genres mixed in between, other than enjoying a different culture settings, the production and acting is definitely more credible, and you don't have to like a specific genre, some k-drama are really to be enjoyed from any kind of person.
Personally, I love as elements of k-drama the amazing masterplans of revenge, the challenge of the protagonist vs the antagonist with genial minds and the blast of continuous plot twists, especially when there is no way to see it coming (looking at you, Vagabond!) or it's hard to understand who is really the bad and good guy (yes, The Devil Judge is a good example). Doctor Prisoner is one of my fav as well.
I usually don't like much sci-fi but the ones I saw, either low- sci-fi like Signal, Circle, 365:Repeat the year or the "full" sci-fi like Sisyphus the myth, were totally enjoyable as well.
That's all, feel free to check my "completed" list and suggest me any similar k-drama underrated I may have missed! ^^
