The ratings now are pretty similar to what the first season was getting. Not that surprising, since I think it probably lost the more romance-focused fans while gaining new fans.

To me TTEOTM cannot compare. I agree it started really strong, but it started declining from when the left the Sheng capital and it hasn't gotten any better even after the Dream arc ended. Too draggy now.
