This drama starts on a very dark note: the male lead has s@x with a concubine while his wife is forced to watch—something that did actually happen historically in China and Korea. He discovers a sachet containing poison that was preventing his wife from conceiving, and subsequently has her entire family killed. In despair, she throws herself off a cliff but is found by a sympathetic general who alters her face to look exactly like that of his late wife. The Crown Prince then begins searching for the woman he had so terribly mistreated, and eventually finds her. Despite what he did to her, she falls in love with him and even returns to him. It is an incredible story with so many twists and turns; you really have to watch it yourself. You shouldn't expect too much; you need a bit of imagination to grasp the story. That said, Deng Kai always delivers a great performance—his acting is superb in *The Maid* and *Pursuit of Jade*. You can watch *The Maid* on YouTube or WeTV (if you have a subscription). Again, it’s not a bad short drama, but while *Enslaved to Love* has a strong beginning and ending, this one is just average.
Gosh I dropped it 😂 every drama has his audience. But that FL doesn't fit with ML , he is to manly and she to childish. Can't imagine intimacy between the two. Looks very weird 😄

She looked like an Asian Barbie always the same heavy make up.😏 Don't like the way she acted , and her character was full of arrogance , selfish, cunning , shrewd, cold , heartless almost narcisstic.😩 Thinking she was full of herself , or was it just me . Watched it for HeYu that guy , how he looks at her Thinking he gobbles her up. His sensual looks were heart fluttering .❤️💯
