Kinda hard to believe that FL won't be found for 15 years. I mean, she couldn't have landed on an island too far away from the mainland. There are tons of fishing boats going around those southern islands. And search party would have likely combed all the surrounded islands.
Also, big survivability questions. And monthly female hygiene questions. They probably not gonna delve into these uncomfortable ones, my guess.
It's cool that they've found a good teenager actress that looks similar to PEB. I prefer child actors to adult actors playing school students. Usually it looks very weird with adults, still remember that one from recent Behind Your Touch where they put 35+ actresses into school uniform.
Eh, I'm dropping this. Unlikable childish FL (her mother feels like the real heroine of this drama), lots of filler, forced villains and story is all over the place - drugs, police work, family drama, moonlighting as gumshoes, useless ex-hobos side story, grandma looking for a new grandpa, weak ass male family members being forced to do something about their life, etc.
Does anybody else has a feeling that the mother is the real FL when she's on screen? Way more interesting character and most of the things going on feel like it's about her.
Also, FL acting here like a child with genki archetype really got old fast. Dumb, but bright characters really not my cup of tea. Also, how dumb can you be to not remember the honorifics already? If she's watched kdramas so much why hadn't she learned from them if her teacher was idiot as well (some grandma that lived 50! years in Korea)?
This drama has solidified my disdain for reincarnation & destiny plots. They're all copying each other, boring and send a wrong message with their idealized, unrealistic view on love.
This one is watchable, unlike the prequel. Couldn't get into that one at all, overrated af, imho.
FL here is...an acquired taste, the popular dumb but cheerful archetype. ML is cute. FL mother's actress looks like she has done one plastic surgery too many. There's quite a lot going on with her character. Grandma is ok, not sure whether her role is necessary here at all though. The father and brother are shown useless, this show is clearly women centric.
Not sure what to say about the plot yet, too many things thrown into the mix - family melodrama with fake daughter, drug dealers and criminals, mother moonlighting as Batwoman wannabe, etc. One thing that was jarring to watch was police and social services actions, or rather lack thereof, towards homeless disenfranchised people.
