Her maid simply died there as well. It also looks like she studied a lot of things in that time when everybody was still alive.

You really didn’t get why he wrote those divorce papers. It wasn’t about any of that, but his hurt pride. He got mad thinking she didn’t love him for real and didn’t want her pity. Basically spelled it out even. He got really triggered after realizing this. What he wrote in those divorce papers was neutral garbage so that nobody’d ask questions reading them.

Yea, he married her not for love, but decided to divorce her because he thinks she doesn’t love him and he wants it now. He promised her to never leave her and then leaves. He hated her for feeling sorry for him and drove her away, but then runs after her because he’s now feeling sorry for her. Really bad communication on both sides, Idiotic and cruel behavior on ML’s part.

It was mentioned in ep 31 that she can just return back cuz she's got family there, but outsiders can't.

I don't think ML got so angry because of what her mother did, but because he got into his head that FL didn't love him and only pretended because she wanted to help him out of guilt.

His character had real schizophrenia though. Very depressing movie.

Ok, but how is taking this out on FL is in any shape or form fair?

Don't forget ML's promises to her either, he immediately forgot all about them once a perceived big problem appeared. Somehow the guy just couldn't concieve that motivations and feelings are complex and she both wanted to help him and fell in love with him. He didn't even let her say anything in return.
