This show is very boring, barely anything happens. I'm considering dropping it. And I don't care about sob stories for the sake of showing sob stories, or veeery slow "healing" stories. There are far more interesting and emotion inducing shows out there that did it right, Tomorrow, for example.
ML here is a very annoying emo tsundere - so dark and edgy, always acts annoyed at everything, like a lazy teenager who's mom asked him to do the chores, but secretly wants people to notice him. Yea, his life was shitty, but his aimlessness and self pity is getting on my nerves. His actor is wasted on this show. I feel kinda sorry for FL, her love prospects are either him or that wooden stick-in-the-mud doctor.
And his female counterpart that plays his self proclaimed girlfriend is even worse. I'm so pretty, but I hate it, I'm suicidial and want to die, but I gotta work for the mafia. Why? Just die already and don't drag ML into this.
Feel free to disagree, but whatever tear jerks showrunners were planning on getting from me didn't work here at all.
I agree about Bu-Yeon character being treated unfairly, if her plot won't be resolved in a meaningful way and…
It's certainly possible, she may even go inside Naksu's body for role reversal twist 🙄. Or she may go to some new unrelated body, So-i's, for example, lol. Dunno if it would solve anything though, because that would make her a soul shifter. Even Naksu, if she returns to her og body somehow, will still be a soul shifter, because that's what happened to Jang Kang and Gil Ju.
I've noticed it now as well. Dunno if it's good news for tightness of the plot though, because it may be the writers couldn't help themselves again with filler and love polygons. Also, 12 episodes nowadays is a new format for a full season for quite a lot of dramas.

Yes, they wanted to return Naksu to her og body for narrative reasons, actress choice has nothing to do with it. One could argue that JSM did too good of a job and charmed the audience so much that nobody cares or wants Naksu to return to her og body now. However, if she did a poor job this show would have flopped in the first 20 episodes. There's no middle ground here. And clearly that's not something showrunners wanted either, since they ditched the initially chosen actress for having subpar skills for this role.
This whole changing the FL thing is starting to make me angry. If Jung So Min appears as Buyeon in the second…
I agree about Bu-Yeon character being treated unfairly, if her plot won't be resolved in a meaningful way and she'll just die I'm gonna be pissed as well. However, JSM has nothing to do with it, she did her part as per the contract terms and that's it. This plot twist was planned from the start, after all. I'd love to see her in part 2 for the reasons you've mentioned and it will be awkward seeing FL in another body, but it remains to be seen whether it will be the cause of a flop.
There was an article citing TvN officials that JSM won't be in part 2 in any capacity and that her character is…
🤷♂️ I hope at least her soul survives somehow, because otherwise it would just be a very sad tale about a girl who was used, abused and ditched with no remorse. Incomplete story. Also, nobody knows how og Naksu's body will come alive since it's ash now. And why is it easier to revive her instead of intact Bu-Yeon's body. Speculations, speculations...

Not sure what they gonna do with Bu-Yeon character, but many people are angry with these news because they mean she won't get any closure to her big sub plot and will be dismissed just like that.
Is this the official cast ? Like, no Mudeok ? Or even Buyeon as a guest appearance ?
There was an article citing TvN officials that JSM won't be in part 2 in any capacity and that her character is petrified for good. Not sure how they gonna do it without her at all since Naksu at least needs to get separated from Bu-Yeon's body. Will they just narrate it or smth without showing anything? 🤦♂️That would be very lame.
Lol🤣🤣🤣🤣.That's a terrible move if they thought that keeping an indistinguishable voice is gonna make…
I dunno about it being beneficial to them since lots of people are angry and dropping it, especially SK's audience. Sure, it generates buzz, but what they care about the most is people continuing watching the show. Not sure what they expected with that plot twist, but the backlash is huge. Did they expect it to be so big? Judging by how they scramble to salvage this situation I kinda doubt it. Part 2 will have to be astounding and do justice to all the characters, Bu-Yeon included, to redeem them. But I'm not holding my breath, the plot wasn't super smart in aos, especially by the end - plot holes here and there, lots of filler and dangling loose ends...
Here is my theory:Bu Yeon's soul is alive and her body was petrified. Naksu's body is alive (not sure how this…
I doubt it. Naksu is and always will be the FL, no matter the body. For showrunners to mess this up as well would be suicide. Her attire in the teaser says nothing. Looked like undergarments that women wear there under the normal clothes, or a pajama. Maybe simply went outside at night to see where she is after being resurrected.
Guys, still wondering the meaning behind the title ' Soul Marriage' Is there anything special behind it? Does…
It's mistranslation, because the word Hwan has many meanings. One of its meanings is "transfer", so you can translate it as Soul Transfer, but Alchemy of Souls sounds way cooler.
Anyone to ship SeoYul with HeoYoon. Just thinking….. stupid worm could help😂😂
Maybe, when she was talking to her servant after witnessing otp couple there was a mention of her thinking she'd get closer to her love interest if she spends a lot of time healing him. Maybe it's foreshadowing for her new love interest, there were many foreshadowings in AoS. Like, a lot. If somebody says something interesting, it's usually there to resurface at some point later. Or maybe Yul will be forever alone, he reminds me of Park Jin too much 🤦♂️🤣

But why? All the prior leaks turned out to be true. I think it's their pathetic attempt at damage control that calmed absolutely nobody, because JSM's character(s) will not return according to them. Just threw more fuel to the fire, lol.
