It can't be because the Ice Stone definitely is with the queen right now, she stole it from wherever they hid it - she makes stacks of new soul ejectors with it. And that's why Gil-Ju went to her - so that she can use it to cure him from being petrified.
But I'm thinking a part of it may be inside Mu-Deok's body, because of the powers she exhibits and because she too prevents Naksu from petrifying in that body.

I think that mage maiden in the past had a role passed on to Jin clan. That's why they are matriarchal. Real Mu-Deok being blind may be because of the Ice Stone connection, I think there is some magic going on with her eyes. Mu-Deok temporarily turned blind too when she broke the mirror with her powers out of nowhere.

It's not known whether she was always blind or it's magic induced. But the big clue is she can open Jin clan's vault, which only Jin clan members can do.
What if the Jin oldest daughter really died and someone used the body to seal the ice stone or part of the ice…
But does the Ice Stone have consciousness? I kinda doubt that the real Mu-Deok is the emobodiment of the Ice Stone (or part of it, considering that it is in the possesion of the queen atm). I think she's the vessel of a part of it, but she has her own soul.
I personally thought it was cheating but not for the reasons that Jin Mu seemed to be bringing up.

Why can't Naksu care about Uk? She's human too. And becoming less cold-hearted with each episode. I wouldn't ascribe to her other person's feelings, since she's in full control of the body aside of two minor occurences.
