has been in my watchlist for 1000 years but after the crimes this one committed it's finally time for me to go watch it lol

really wish mdl users would be this protective of flawed female chars as well bc every time there's a girl who does one wrong thing (or even sth that might be generally questionable but logical given the situation she's in) in the first 5 episodes of dramas, the entire comment section is talkin abt how insufferable and annoying she is and nobody defends her the way everyone's jumping to these men's defence and telling us to wait for char development lol

I actually don't have a problem with characters being unhinged and trying to unalive e/o in fantasy historical stories but the ones in here litterally look down on the female gender 😭 that's the real issue for me lol...the setup is supposedly realistic everyday life so there can't be any dramatic enemies to lovers or whatever, yet the men keep talking about women in a degrading way every episode and it gets annoying at some point...

It's litterally nonsense for romance and you could make those male chars flawed in a billion ways but you choose THIS lol

You said you didn't want to answer buut you did so here we go again : It's good for Historical dramas to portray the realistic challenges patriarchy puts women through, but it makes more sense for the ones who challenge these women with misogyny to not be the fawcking love interests we are supposed to spot for.
