yeah the Song dynasty costumes in that drama are really nice

Yuzheng and gjm are two sides of the same creepy and gross coin in a sense that they both obsess over a young and beautiful actor (or just a regular person they find attractive and want to make an star from. very creepy behaviour imo) every once in a while and drag them into their shitty projects until god knows when . Just that one hyperfixates on women and the other one on guys 💀 tjr is actually too talented for gjm's halfassed writing and production and I do NOT care that he made him famous...somebody needs to free him before he gets stuck to this man for the next 10 years 😭

well chemistry has always been a mystery lol but I personally have the unpopular theory that actors' relationship on set is actually the last factor in chemistry hitting as it should. Imo a good cp needs good romance writing first; a good director who gets the best performance out of the actors during their interactions 2nd AND the actors being comfortable with e/o comes last.
But yeah I really really hope Bai jinjin brings her maximum slay to this one 😭 Im still in love with clj and Destined was pretty decent. (would've been better if Rao Jun wasn't involved in the script lol)

Well that's what actually makes it interesting to me tbh bc you barely see autistic chars in historical dramas but that doesn't mean they didn't exist back then. I actually find it pretty genuis how they represented it in historical context: Yes; it's right that Shaoyao's family and physicians would never know that she's autistic, but there are other ppl who, despite also not being aware, recognise that she's not "sick" and that she's just unique/has a different way of thinking and processing things compared to others. In other words they actually understand her. And this isn't a totally irrelevant issue even today. This is actually not a completely irrelevant situation in our time (there are still many undiagnosed autistic ppl out there who are misunderstood or even mistreated by the ones around them) and it's pretty interesting how they executed the idea in a way that's realistic in historical context and also a relevant issue in today's society as well.
And btw asperger syndrome itself is part of the autism spectrum.

I saw somebody comment on a picture of the male characters saying yuzheng's dramas always have horrible styling and that they made hot men look bad and all and I was like damn I literally thought the exact opposite lmfao...yuzheng is definitely a pretty crappy producer imo but if there's one thing I do like abt him is his aesthetic preferences in terms of costumes. Like maybe they were talking abt the wigs and makeup bc the fabric quality, color pallets and tailoring does look really great compared to other historical dramas!

I didn't have very high expectations for the fsmm series but even the little hope is completely crushed now tbh 😭 will be waiting for this one only and solely for lyt's acting and pretty face and pretty costumes and pretty voice (istg if they don't let her dub herself!!!!gxt always voices herself and they didn't let her do it in rmp)...gjc is also a pretty interesting actor so we will see ig?? maybe this one ends up not being too bad since they're not hyping it up as much as the other 2 with the eye candy and crazy popular cast list! Maybe just MAYBE they are actually gonna focus on the script as much as marketing and visuals lol
