_ Doctor fl who actually has a brain and doesn't insist on "saving the patient" in the most unhygienic places. (some MEDICAL dramas from this day and age don't consider this AT ALL lol) _fl is a very realistic char. She used to be a GS but she just switched to PS bc she thought it was too much work and little money. She's a very no bs person and kind of morally gray sometimes. _ I don't even like LMH but the char he played here is ICONIC. Typical cold and arrogant dude but also a reluctant hero?? He isn't the usual heroic and extremely patriotic general but just a guy too tired of a shtty life who wants freedom. A VERY morally gray and interesting character also and this kind of chars were not even a thing back in the day. _EPIC Stockholm syndrome romance lmfaoo Idc that it's toxic at all cause I was and am still obsessed lol _INCREDIBLE character writing and romance between the King and queen characters! They're also very complex and unusual characters as king and queen and their arc is so damn beautiful!! _Very fun villains! Like in terms of script writing this was really 10 years ahead of it's time!! This one aged like fine wine to me and I don't even like old kdramas that much lol

What made it beautiful was the fl's GROWTH through time, her story was NOT just about romance but also self discovery and maturing. And the color grading and cinematography is really one of a kind!! MJTY was visually stunning even with all the questionable writing but this one has a type of color skim and camera language I've never seen in any other show 😭 I don't usulike strong filters but the one used here makes all the purples and red pop out a lot which is visual metaphor for two very important things in the show : poison and blood
