I like the Ghost King! He’s so cool. He definitely doesn’t buy all the BS framing A Yin.

My guess is that A Yin would end up trading half of her lifespan for two parts of FY’s soul with Ao Ge. This would be what would cure Ao Ge’s twin.

I like the concept in this drama where they show how the immortals assume different roles in heavenly palace and perform their duties. They’re promoted when they perform well. I am happy to see A Yin climb the heavenly ladder with hard work despite lacking spiritual power just like our modern world.
I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen such a concept in a xianxia world.

On the other note, do you think Gu Jin purposely released the spirit sword to chase HS away?

His character is a breath of fresh air in xianxia world. He’s just and fair. Usually Heavenly Emperor is a bad character and power hungry in xianxia, e.g. The Starry Love and TMOPB

I like your comment about A Yin should be the metric to measure a character. She’s that precious and pure. Love her!

So far they have collected 5 pieces of FY’s soul. Based on the future episode previews, A Yin will exchange her half lifespan with two pieces held by Ao Ge from the Nether Realm. A Yin has one piece within her that keeps her alive, so she has to die for FY to resurrect.

I really like A Yin character. She’s so adorable, talkative, brave and outspoken. She reminds me of Cheng Shaoshang in LLTG.

I saw in Episode 2! A fragment of FY soul went into the egg of the water beast. I missed that detail the first time I watched it.

Right. In a way, their fate is entangled with each other. If it’s not for FY secretly helped GJ, he wouldn’t have mistaken her for HS and he might have not caused the dispersal of FY’s soul.

In which aired episode did they mention about Heaven Stone sent a fragment of FY’s soul to Water Beast? I might have missed these details.
Anyway, that’s GJ’s Karma I guess since he’s the one who caused Feng Yin’s “death” in the first place.

Well said. During their baby delivery scene, it’s so heartwarming to see that Li Ni puts Cui Lin’s safely and wellbeing first and foremost. Only after ensuring Cui Lin’s all good, then he paid his attention to their son.

He has the prettiest eyes ever!

I cried so hard in Episode 31.
I lost it the time Pei Yuan and Ear arrived at the scene and saw the damage. When Pei Yuan was holding Old Bao and started to call him “elder brother”. I believe that’s first time he ever addressed him as his elder brother.
And when Li Ni dreamed of them 😭😭😭😭😭
Rest in peace, Old Bao, Huang Da Ge, Zhao Er Ge, Youren and Youdao. You will be missed. Your characters brought so much fun and laughter yet you ended up tragically.

On a side note, it looks like Prime Minister Gu is the hidden villain and was secretly helping Sun Jing. In episode 38, it seems he will be working with Jieshuo people.

What is his back story? Why makes him betray Da Yu?

The imperial grandson is still not in the picture from the previews of future episodes, how is the script writer going to bring him back into the story?

Right. In costume drama, usually a character will be very loyal to the other character if they’re indebted to them like for saving their life. But I can’t recall a back story what makes A’shu so loyal to LCF. He just follows his order blindly without questioning anything.
I mean he was once a member of Cui army and was treated well by A’ying. He doesn’t seem to be a bad person as well.

Old Bao is easily one of my favourite supporting characters. He’s one of the wiser adults that talks sense to our more dense military men like Li Ni and Ear when it comes to relationship and women.
Not to mention he is FUNNY!
