Holy shit!! The first episode already made me cry a river 😭😭😭😭😭😭

What’s everyone watching after this one? I’m looking for the next costume dramas to watch.

It’s wrapped up nicely even though I would have wanted a worse ending for the Yus, especially old man Yu.

If I were XTY and ZL, I would likely have made the same decision. The status and wealth in the capital is not worth sacrificing loved ones and losing oneself for.

Or when you need more stress and anxiety. Hahaha
RoS is one of those dramas that makes me anxious. I think we can finger-count how many scenes that are not intense.

Anyways, I completed both dramas and love them for different reasons. I still go back watching POJ from time-to-time for the slice-of-life kind of feelings it gives me during the Lin’an arch in the first half of the drama.

I think she kind of bet that Madam Yu was teasing her and she won. She just knows her very well.

He describes his character perfectly. This shows how capable he’s as an actor to be able to understand and portray such an unlikeable character brilliantly.

His wife was tricked by Madam Wu to get Mo Yi sign on donation paper from Madam Wu to the Northwestern army. His wife thought that would earn Mo Yi’s some merits and propel him for a promotion. Little did she know, it was just a scheme of Madam Wu. They used that signed paper to accuse him of taking bribes. Yus murdered Madam Wu after she gave the paper to Yus. Madam Wu’s murder resulted into protests by the Anzhou merchants.
Mo Yi was sacrificed to save Northwestern army and to appease the Anzhou merchants.

I teared up when Mo Yi was executed.
I feel like it’s just so dumb that it was his wife who put him through this. I was so mad when she forced her husband to sign the paper and at General Mo when he was not strong enough to refuse. He must have felt helpless and guilty at that moment (because he took a concubine back in Ganlin) that forced him to give in to his wife’s will.

I finally picked up episode 31. I know this is only a drama but…

I have started that one too and put this one on hold despite having access to express. My heart can’t take it anymore. I need a break. 😫

Please tell me the skinny kid in the episode 1 is AI.

I’m scared to continue watching episode 31. I have a bad feeling that the emperor might be sacrificing Mo Yi regardless whether ZL/XTY has the solid evidence to prove his innocence or not.

I knew it Madam Mo was going to pay a heavy price one day when she showed how eager she was for a shortcut even during the Ganlin time.

OMG..this is getting out of hands. It looks some people from Northwestern side might be sacrificed.
I’m looking forward to how ZL and TY are going to solve this mess.

Ikr! I didn’t get it. ZL is sinking deeper and deeper by each episode. Old man Yu knows how to exploit his insecurities and recklessness.
I don’t think he can take Yu family down all by himself. He needs TY as his strategist. He’s too reckless.

Still. He should have told her the truth. They’re married.

They’re married for god’s sake. Didn’t you think that he should have told her the truth? She’s an adult. She’s capable of dealing with this brutal truth. What he did could jeopardise what they have built thus far if he gets caught by their enemies.
ZL is too reckless.

I didn’t agree with what ZL did to FY’s father behind her back. He should have discussed it with TY first. *sigh*.

I’m scared to continue watching episode 28 when I know what FTY’s father is capable of. It will shatter my heart when that actually happens.

Episode 25 has been the best episode so far. Seeing everyone who has helped and made impact in their journey to splendor gathered in one place to celebrate their wedding is just beautiful. It made me cry a ton 🥹😭😫
