good short cdrama

I thought this was well done. It was a bit dark to start and I tend to stay away from dark stuff. But I am glad I gave it a try.

Likes:
1. The story-line was good and kept you interested to know how things were going to turn out.
2. The writers and director did a good job and I hope they get more jobs. It was nice that it wasn’t a fluff piece like most of the shorter c-dramas.
3. The chemistry between the actors were good. The romance scenes were good and better then some that I have seen lately.
4. The ending was a definite surprise. There was a surprising twist.
5. I liked the contrast between the two couples in the love. It showed the difference between genuine love and obsessive love.
6. I liked the little daughter. her character was a nice addition to the story. I thought the little actress did a good job.
7. Solid acting- nothing outstanding but it was well done.

Dislikes:
1. Incomplete English subtitles but it was a good series so I just overlooked it and replayed some parts again to figure out what was going on.
2. Length of each episode-I would have liked the episodes to have been longer. Some of the story felt rushed because of the allotted time. The first episode was 11 minutes.
3. A little inconsistency in the story, In the description it says King Ning but in the story he is referred to as the prince. So that was a little confusing. I think he was the prince not the king. Other than that the story was good. This may be translation problem. But with the way this character was freely running around it was more believable he was the prince.
4. The ending was good but I felt like it could have been better.

I definitely recommend it. I will re watch it again. In fact I have re watched certain parts of it already.

Don't compare to Kinn Parsche but it's okfine

I like this series however it has potential that is not being realized.. There were plot holes and the editing could have been better. From the very premise there should have been more heat between the two actors. It didn't have to be R rated or pornish to have heat but there was definitely room for improvement. That being said it is not as good as KinnPorsche but much better than Checkout ( which by the way i wouldn't waste my time watching again.) .
I liked episodes 1-6 then I felt like the series bogged down a little. Episode 10 could have been so much better. I liked episodes 1 , 2 , and 12 the best. Episode 12 saved it from a 6 rating, I would rate Episode 12 an 8.5.
I have continued watching it because I want to see how it ends. There has been some pretty good scenes like the rescue of Kim and "bombs" in episode 6. I liked the rescue in Episode 12. But there were other places were the story seems disjointed and choppy Like in episode 10 I think it would have been much better if they had focused on the vacation and left the scenes with Daniel,Dani And Cherry till the end of the episode or the next episodes. Certainly not inserting the Cherry scene between the shower and bedroom scene with Kamol and Kim. I felt the shower scene with the three bodyguards was totally unnecessary and didn't add to the story. I think it would have been better to work on the shower/bedroom scene with Kamol and Kim which seemed incomplete and pieced together.
I think the writers for Forgotten night don't seem clear on the direction they are going. In episode 1 you have the bedroom scene which is pretty tame for the subject matter addressed, and that was fine they didn't need to have full nakedness with both actors like KinnPorsche did. I think the bedroom scenes was effective the way they did it. where you see the top half naked even though more is implied. For example In episode 4 you see a small kiss in the bedroom and the next morning they wake up in bed together naked. Then in episode 9 you have the scene with Kim taking a shower and Kamol coming up with robe but there was a strategically placed railing that obscured details , that could have been more but they elected not to and that is fine. I like the cleaner romances. Sometimes less is more. then in episode 10 there was two explicit scenes like KinnPorsche that were totally R but the scenes themselves felt like they were missing something./ or were unnecessary.
I will finish watching it but yes it could have been better but I do I like mostly what I have seen..
I felt like episode 12 saved the series for me. In episode 12 I loved the interaction of Kamol and Kim. I could feel how Kamol was torn between work and going after KIm and how Kim was feeling rejected, I felt like the acting was so much better in this episode. I liked the rescue of Kim. I loved how Kim's Father warned Kamol of the difficulties they would face as a couple but accepted them. The parents attitude was realistic and not another cliche. I think the surprise party should have had Kim's parents there. But I loved the happy ending..

Comedy drama

The plot summary is a very generic overview.
Overbearing mother Pimpattra has three sons—Itchaya, Thevis, and Ashira—by three different fathers. Regardless of her sons' feelings, Pimpattra has plans to set all three up with women she sees as worthy daughters-in-law. Then three unacceptable women come into her sons' lives.

Having not seen it before I can't say how accurate it will turn out to be, However, after watching the first six episodes with what has transpired so far a more accurate description would seem to be:

Overbearing and controlling mother Pimpattra has three sons—Itchaya, Thevis, and Ashira—by three different fathers. Pimpattra plans to set all three sons up with women she sees as worthy daughters-in-law to the dismay of her sons. Three unacceptable women come into her sons' lives.
1. Kaewklaw- a internet restaurant owner whom Itchaya likes. Things are a little complicated between Itchaya and Kaewklaw. Itchaya's father is having an affair. Itchaya is very protective of his stepmother and tries to intervene in his father's affair. Unfortunately through a series of misunderstandings Kaewklaw is blamed to be the mistress. which she isn't. Everyone has their own agendas and poor Kaewklaw is being blackmailed from three different people who threaten to tell her supposed secret to her mother. Then the chaos begins. What will happen with Kaewklaw and Itchaya?
2. Nuengnaret- an outspoken woman who is working with Thevis and she is Pimpattra's enemy. She and Thevis pretend to date to irate Pimpattra . Pimpattra does some underhanded things with the woman she has chosen to set Thevis up. Will her attempts to breakup Nuengnaret and Thevis succeed? Will Thevis ever speak to his mother again?
3. Nareeya -who is hired to pretend to be Ashira's girlfriend.

Will the three sons find love and what will happen to their relationship with their mother?

So far it has been a funny series with some serious moments. I like this series. I like the story. the actors have good chemistry. It will be interesting to see how the story develops. I would recommend it.

**Update at episode 9
Without putting too much of a spoiler in here. I will state that episode 7 felt disappointing and rushed in the way they put Kaewklaw and Itchaya together, I felt like they needed one more episode to resolve it. The way it was resolved was not satisfying or very believable. If I was Kaewklaw I wouldn't be making up with Itchaya so quickly, that is for sure. It felt like the writers had to hurriedly end Kaewklaw and Itchaya's story so they could get to the next son. I felt like Pimpattra's response was not very credible judged on her previous actions , although, some may say that was her changing and growing.
I already don't like Nuengnaret. After watching two episodes with her I hope she changes and grow because she's not very likable. But maybe that is the point. I feel like it has lost some of it's charm. But it will be interesting to wait and see.

**Update at episode 12
I am glad I hung in there and kept watching the episodes as they did improve. I love the chemistry between the actors. The story is getting better again and I can hardly wait to see what happens in episode 13.

*Update after finishing the series.
It was an OK series I was disappointed in the third son's story. I felt like the first son's story was the best except for how the two got together in the end. That could have been a lot better. It was not realistic. I have already stated my opinion on that so I won't restate it. The second son's story was OK but the third son's story could (should) have been better. I was glad there wasn't a fourth son,
However, it did end positively so that's a good thing. I really think the writers could have done better on the script. In several place the script felt flat, I felt like the acting was fine. It's not a series I would re-watch that is for sure.

If you haven't started it You might want to find a different series to watch. If you have started it you are probably curious about how it ends so stay the course it does have a good enough ending. Although there is definite room for improvement.

Watch this it is a great show

I really like this show. I hope they make a season 2. I think they have done a great job with this show. The main character has Autism. The actress is doing a great job portraying this character. I have a 15 year old son that has autism. Many of the issues that the show raises are spot on to the reality of living with autism. I love the balance of support and also discrimination shown. I wish they would develop the romance a little more between Attorney Woo and Lee Jun-ho. Lee Jun ho needs to stop calling attorney Woo so formally and call her by her first name. I have already re watched many of the episodes. I like the cases and the personal drama,

Time travel/ reincarnation

The actors are excellent. The story is awesome even though it is sad. The cinematography is great. I like how it is a period piece set in the 1920's. The chemistry between the male leads is great.

The actor who plays Jom made me cry in the first and third episode. In some respects the script could have been a bit better in some places but there were some scenes that just reached out and grabbed your heart and the sentiment they express are hauntingly accurate for anyone that has been in a failed relationship and broken up because the other person wanted to. In episode 5 when Jom realizes how a servant is treated that was really well done. { I love historical fiction. I think it is easy to forget how good our current life is compared to how it was in the past. }

Here is a brief list of some of the very powerful scenes in the series without being overdone. The writers have done such a great job. ( i"m sure there are other scenes that could be added to this list but these are the ones that stood out at first watch.)
1. Episode 1- the "What did I do wrong" scene with Jom and Ohm, brought tears to my eyes.
2. Episode 2- the "You have lost your spirit" scene on the porch with Jom and Yai.
3. Episode 3- the store scene when Jom is punching Khamsaen ( who he sees as Ohm) and asks " Why are you so selfish ? What else do you want from me ? Can you blame only me? " At this point he is talking as if to Ohm even though he is with Khamsaen.
4. Episode 3- there are two very similar scenes of "What did I do wrong? " ( This seems to be a recurring theme.) Scene one was in the ally with Khamsaen and his mother and the other scene was on the dock with Jom and Yai , The dock scene made me cry. I loved how YAI was supportive while Jom tried to make sense of everything.
5. Episode 5 -when Jom and the other servant are being punished and she makes the comment "the life of servants is like this we are not the owners of our own lives."
6. Episode 6- I like the realism in this episode . There are two scenes that stand out. One is in the bar when Jom is talking to James about Nuey. The other scene is in the bedroom when Jom and Yai are talking. I like how Jom is not just following emotion and asks Yai if he realizes that if they get in a relationship that it could create problems. I also like that finally Jom and Yai are coming to an understanding.
7. Episode 8- The scene in the tub when they are talking about the Plumeria flower whose Thai name means misery. I won't spoil the scene but I think it shows how Kun Yai is not afraid to like something that other people may not.

I am really liking this series. I hope that it continues to be this good. I have already re-watched some of the episodes.

Spoiler Alert:
I found the official pilot on you-tube that is 9 minutes long. It is really good but it shows that this show probably is going to have a very sad ending. Have your Kleenex ready. I generally don't watch sad shows but I had watched 3 episodes before I found the pilot. I'm invested and can't quit now.

I also found the music video on you-tube for the theme song and it is so good. I love how they have put clips from the series in it. If you don't like spoilers don't watch it but I thought it was very well done.

Update: after episode 5: I just finished watching episode 5. I love how they are putting the supernatural into it. The episodes are continuing to be excellent. It is interesting to see the past in Thailand in the 1920's. That servants were treated as slaves. It is history and makes me appreciate more the freedoms that I currently have and take for granted.

Update after episode 8: This series is continuing to be so good. I will say it - it's about time for Yi and Jom to get together.
Update: for Episodes 11 and 12 have the Kleenex ready.

Possible endings:
1. They could stay together in the past. I kinda hope they finish it like they did in Phetra Nuerimet where they let the two leads stay together in the past. but from seeing the pilot I don't think that will be the ending.

2. Main Male lead from the past is reincarnated and meets up with the main character in the future. This would be an ending like Rooftop Prince. Where the person from the future meets the reincarnate version of the Prince. The Prince goes back to his own time and is able to find the truth and punishes the guilty. He is alone but can be at peace because he knows what happened and justice has been served. Two people get happiness and the third gets justice.

3, Love interest from past comes into the future like what happened in Ruk Laek Pop.

4. It could just have a sad ending where they are separated for all time like what happened for the main character in Mr. Queen.. The main characters feel better for having met each other and having loved each other at least for a little bit. The old saying "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.." The male lead from the future he didn't get a romantic happy ending because he went back to the future but he wound up making a good difference in the past and becoming a better man in the future. He was able to be happy but he was separated from the king for all time. Both leads lives were better because of the experience. The king got his original queen back but he missed the male lead from the future.

I have listed the possible options but for me personally, I WANT A HAPPY ENDING, { but like in real life that's probably not going to happen.] Number 4 is probably the ending we are going to get where they are separated from each other, so have the Kleenex ready. I' ll just have to wait and see how the writers choose to end it. My choice would be for Yi to be reincarnated and remember his past life. I could see Yi being the owner of the house and they meet after Jom get's back to the present day. It would make sense that episode 12 would be set in modern day. But we will have to wait and see. It would be good to have a scene at the hospital withe Jom and Ohm. But there again it's just speculation on my part.

I am really enjoying the show. I hope you will give it a try.

Spoiler Alert:
Soft spoiler alert- it has a happy ending although it is a little abrupt and leaves some questions. Writers- thank you for the happy ending a;lthough it was too abrupt. What you needed was a special episode that focuses on the modern day Kun Yai and how he got to the present. I hope they do a second season this was so good. Actors thank you for doing such a great job.

In the episode 12, I watched it was 1 hr 18 min and 36 sec long. At 1 hr 14 min and 52 seconds there was another scene setting up possibly another season. I really hope they do, this was such a good series.

not the same actors from unforgotten night

The parent story is Unforgotten Night but the actors are different for this series even though the characters are the same. In all the reviews no one has mentioned this. I was disappointed. It is interesting that they have chosen to cast younger actors . With the subject matter and the fact that Day was the bodyguard for MR. Kamol for many years. Day should be in his 30's. In Unforgotten night Mr. Kim is 27 years old. This story takes place 3 years later. It was established that Day and Mr. Kim went to College together. If Day was the same age as Mr. Kim, he would be in his 30's .It would have been nice to see the same actors that played in Unforgotten night play in this series.

Now I know, this is a different series so it will be interesting to see how the series develops. If you can wade through episode 1 it starts getting better with episode 2. I have hopes that it will continue to improve. If you want a normal relationship then this is definitely not the series for you. I hope to see ITT grow and mature as the series progresses. I will admit that him whining about cake and insisting that Day deliver the cake was extremely annoying and childish. I am giving this series a 6 but i hope as the series progresses that I can improve the score.
I really liked episode 3. It was great to see MR. Kamol and Mr. Kim. This episode was the best so far. The story could use improvement but it is improving with more episodes.

Crazy funny drama

If you turn off your brain about the main character not getting any consequences for his actions then it's good. It's not your run of the mill court room drama. I like the twists and turns in the plot. I think the main character should have been older. To me the actor looks in his 20's so that's a little distracting because it's so implausible that some one that young could be so accomplished . Although I will admit that I have liked most of it. So turn off the reality check and I think it is a fun crazy drama.

Dark and suspenseful

The description for the series states: "Tang is a young new artist who mysteriously loses his reflection. He sees a strange boy, Neo, in the mirror instead. An odd relationship starts with the conflict between suspense and trust." The picture that accompanies the description of the series shows two boys with two guitars in the background. Holding something that you really can't tell what it is., It looks like this will be a sweet romance with some suspense.
So far the series has been anything but sweet and not what I expected. It really is starting out pretty dark. I wont put spoilers in here, however; I will say there are two significant disturbing scenes in it and I almost expected Neo to be a ghost from the way the first episode was headed. What happened instead was unexpected. I am staying for now because I am intrigued. However, in the trailer for episode 4 there is something bloody in the box and you can't really see what it is, if this goes further down that path I think I will drop it. This series is suppose to have 6 episodes. It will be interesting to see how it develops. I am not dropping it yet but I hope it improves. I thought this was going to be a suspense romance . The suspense part is right.
I just finished episode 4 and what a sad story so far. Only 2 episodes left. It will be interesting where it goes from here.
I finished the series and the ending was OK but definitely I won't be re-watching it. I agree with what others have said that it should have just been in the youth/ drama category not BL.

Slapstick Humor -Watch and turn your brain off.

So far there is not much of a plot. A modern day girl get's transported to what looks like the 1800's. She is totally clueless and breaks a jar and signs a contract without reading it and basically sells herself into slavery. There have been some funny moments but something tells me it won't have much of a plot. Watch it, if you are bored and like time travel.
I have watched up to 4 episode and it is getting a little better. It's kinda of predictable where the story is going to go. But I am enjoying it well enough for what it is. Just don't analyze any plot holes like how a cell phone at 15% battery can still work the next day or how a cell phone can work in ancient days. Like I said turn off your brain and it's OK.

I really l;loved season 1 . Very disappointed in episode 2 . The first episode was basically a recap of the first season. I felt like it was well done. Without spoiling the plot let's just say that episode 2 felt hurried and not very well thought out. It felt rushed and like it was making a big jump from the end of season 1 to the beginning off season 2. I didn't like the way the story line was headed. In fact I watched half the episode and then stopped. I will try it again but not at 10 pm at night. I don't need ghosts in my dreams. I hope it gets better in subsequent episodes.

what a confusing mess

I gave up after 3 episodes. I love time travel series and really wanted to like it this one. However there is no starting place and really no context from which to start to understand the series. Maybe it would get better with time ? I guess i just don't want to wade through the confusion..
I think if it had a better script and editing so you know what the heck is going on then the series could have potential and that potential could have been realized.
It jumps around so quickly that before you start to even get invested in the story it has changed to another story and another time. I did like the costumes though in what I guess would be the 40's.
