I don't know why so many people are praising ML in this adaptation, for me he seems spineless. I don't want to judge this drama so harshly bc after all it was made 30 years ago (sounds so crazy!) and I can understand that at that time it was just a normal culture. However I can't stay quiet about some close-up shots.. they were kinda unpleasant to watch.
The beginning of the drama was quite good and I enjoyed it but after a few episodes (idk what happened) Kotoko became too much. Too loud and too annoying. They should have toned that down and it'd have been better. But! She is so pretty♥️
Naoki is handsome as well, but I still don't understand him fully. People say he didn't treat Kotoko badly, but he kinda did. Some words he said to her were really harsh. SPOILER: When he told her he wished she didn't exist, and she was happy that he finally spoke about his feelings. I didn't understand that part. I thought she should have been hurt hearing that.
Also I didn't like the last episode and a time skip. I usually don't like such kind of time skips in dramas so it's not an exception. It was a weird choice.
Anyway even if it's not my favourite adaptation it was a good experience and I don't regret watching it.
oh my goodness guys😭😭 girl was 16-17 shooting this and guy was 27 😭😭 Japan why 😭
she was 16 and he was 25, of course it doesn't change anything and when I realised this fact I was so shocked😭. I watched this drama when I was a teenager and I didn't think about such things but now when I'm an adult I decided to rewatch it and look up actors ages. When I saw that the girl is still so young I started questioning the age she was when shooting the drama... it's really bad
I'm surprised that people still come here and critisize the drama that was made in 2010!!! of course it will be different. what do you expect? to see a green flag golden retriever ML who pursues FL first? if yes then don't waste your time, you won't find it here. yes, ML here is toxic and their relationship is not the healthiest one, but it was popular back then to show such kind of story where FL is in love with ML and he treats her bad but then starts to fall in love with her.
They’ve lost their fxkn mind I see. These scriptwriters need to understand the influence they have on young…
Nobody is writing a romance between teacher and student😭 and why is it a problem that she writes bl novels? Scenes that we see from her novels aren't even explicit, they look more fun than intimate. It's lighthearted drama and comedy And I'm happy that sometimes kdramas can show us teenagers who act like real teenagers
I watched the first 4 episodes and there she says she is 18 years old so she is an adult, even though having a…
I think FL might have a crush on her math teacher but I don't see them having any actual relationship when she's still a student. korean dramas woldn't take that risk to show something like that (it's not Japan). If they choose to go that route to make them a couple or show their feelings they will probably do a time skip
so far I enjoy it, especially I love our quirky FL✨️ aww what a cutie! her haircut and red glasses are just perfect.
I'll be honest recent kdramas are lacking some kind of spark or uniqueness for me so I have a hard time trying to watch something. But this one is totally a breath of fresh air. It's fun and easy to watch and I'm emotionally connected to the main character. Also a big plus is the way they portrayed high school students, it feels really relatable.
in episode 2 when Akira hugged Hijiri and she was like "stop someone can see us" and he said "i don't care.. etc" 😭lmao I was like ofc you don't care, dude, but your teacher cares and she cares a lot. if someone sees you hugging she'll get in a big trouble..
I loved this drama! it was so calming and every dish they made looked fantastic
I was a bit surprised to know that Harumi is only 16 bc I thought he'd be 18.. and as I understand Alice is 25-26 , anyway I was pleased watching their relationship, very cute. Honoka is just adorable❤️
and I think Harumi's grandfather was a shipper kinda...
actors look really pretty but the concept is so gross. People here are comparing this story to love stories about young people and 100/500/1000 year old creatures like goblins or vampires. But I still think it's not the same and this concept is more disturbing cuz when people age, not only their bodies change(physically) but also their minds change(due to these physical changes). They start to see themselves differently and society starts to treat them differently so eventually old person turns into old person with an old person's mindset..

do you know that teenagers write fanfictions? and usually explicit ones.
