No rewatch episode 3 the part where the queen is with her nephew or cousin (,whatever he is) and Jin Mu joins them , Jim Mu said they will take Buyeon from Uk as no one acknowledges their marriage and everyone already knows about her betrothal to Yul’s uncle so they will proceed with that plan, I then episode 4 a new plan ( that you mentioned above) was suddenly in action without any explanation of how and why the original plan changed.

I fully understand that it’s not this version of Yeong’s nature to slap Uk( he deserved it ) but I agree with you , it’s not the intention of the character, especially with not even knowing who she is, Listen I do fully understand that the Character Uk is grieving, he has a wall up and the character’s personality is also abrupt, however let me explain my point further on this . When Uk brought her back from the the assembly she did something that proved that her energy was returning, he got excited right? She had also told him that with the return of her energy her memory use would follow. Now when the incident happened at the tombs. Because he was in denial, hurting etc he did allow his emotions to cloud his judgement and he did end up gaslit her, his reaction was what caused her to doubt herself and she quickly made up an excuse as to the possibility of those memories, he brought up the fact that she lied , He also lies and he knows the reason she lied at the assembly yet he disregarded that and threw it in her face ( now I want you to take all these things into consideration and honestly ask yourself what is that without trying to justify the reasons for it, because I’m afraid that’s a problem when we start making excuses for the way someone treats us. As I’ve said had he even returned after an hour to apologise admitted that he was harsh( remember he told her he would not be mistreated when he first brought her home?) it would have made a little difference but just for the sake of showing viewers a beautiful moment with fireflies has clouded our judgements and again that ends up making the character of Uk comes across narcissistic and I’m not ok with that, like I said a lot of very young girls watch this series and not 1 has seem to identify this all they see is a so called romantic guy lighting up a path for his wife after scolding her I’m sorry but that’s not the right message to send, especially rn to viewers and especially a Korean series written by women. ( there’s a lot going on there atm with gender abuse etc). Anyways I hope I never see that behaviour again because other than that incident I’m ok there was another incident in the episode which further fuelled these feelings but I’m analysing carefully first as I’m still a little confused by it.. I hope the end of the episode was a new beginning for them both and he will start believing her as of next episode 🌸🌸

I loved her in both parts tbh well when she wasn’t constantly being over pretentious Mudeok ( that annoyed me after 2 mins run each time) but yes I enjoyed where fate had taken her even though it was somewhat tragic but it needed to happen for Uk and for her as now seems she’s no longer a soul shifter or whatever, Uk dying made him the most powerful person so yea so far so good 😊

She wanted to revenge her family, As a child she witnessed Park Jin killing her father, she didn’t understand that he was a soul shifter and she was brainwashed, park Jin and the Songrim mages went looking for her they approached her so That would be Self defence, it’s irrelevant if she wanted him dead, the point of self defence is that you defend yourself when being approached and attacked. I’ll watch the conversation again I’m pretty sure park Jin said she was killing soul shifters remember even if they were innocent souls they were still soul shifters and there’s no way back really from it a even worse the ejectors are cursed. Yul also said it that she didn’t kill innocent people when Master Lee, Uk and Yul was speaking to the CP in episode 16 I think.
