I just realise what Master Lee actually said after he walked away from park Jin, He said ‘ Once Jin Buyeon regains her Devine powers, Naksu will also retrieve her old memories and will eventually be rejected by that body.‘
That sounds like Jin Buyeon is still alive in the body and Master Lee , seems like he’s trying to save Buyeon fully by having her Devine powers back to kick Naksu out of the body, he wants to fulfill the seol ran prophecy but how because Uk is not in love with Buyeon, what is really going on. I hate this every week waiting thing because I also just rewatch episode 2 and he Did tell her the opposite from what he told Park Jin and even Park Jin asked if there’s a difference.
We still haven’t seen the Young Buyeon, seol-Ran and the scene where master Lee meets Uk and Buyeon together as yet.

If the body rejects the soul then obviously she will be ejected if the ice stone is used to keep her in. However it sounds as if , if her memories return before Buyeon’s body regains the Devine power then she might be able to make the body completely her own with her strengthened energy but if the body gets the power first then her memory follows then we have a problem. But in the same time Master Lee is telling Park Jin to continue making her search for the birds that’s pushing her Devine powers. That’s where I’m confused as what Master Lee actually wants.

Yes they just shared 2 separate theories that we already are aware of but the thing is both theories are somewhat linked or connected to her in some ways, she shows characteristics that easily points to the water dragon but she she can’t be both. Maybe she’s neither and she’s just a relic 🤣🤣
