Well It's a Movie

This movie could have been pretty interesting if it focused on one concept, but the layering they tried made for a clunky off-putting movie and the twist at the end felt empty and like it was thought of at the last minute. The movie relies on sound to scare you more than anything and there is a scene when they tried to up the volume so loud that the sound just starts to cut out. The sfxs makeup was probably the only interesting part of the movie and most of it also had CGI elements that brought it down.

The movie isn't scary and just uncomfortable.

So Bad It's Good

I first watched this movie back in High School and then all but forgot about it. Back in High School it had been scary enough that I had to take my time to watch it. Looking back on it, and after re-watching the movie, I realize now that it was just the music score doing a good job at building suspense and it working well on me at that time. Now as an adult the movie is campy and at times makes very little sense. As someone who loves movies that are technically bad, I love it but it isn't for everyone for sure.
