In this series, WJG is in love with MX but in the novel, he is only in love with BFY.

There'll be more zcreen time between CWD and MX from Episode 13 onwards. That's when their relationship will develope. CWD is already in love with MX.

What's the age gap between CWD and MX in the novel? In real life, the age gap between Sun and Zhang Nan is 14 years. But, the pairing is so good.

CWD dies in the end. The scene where he saves Mo Xi is the part which leads to another scene where both are under the rubbles.

True. Peng Xiao Ran and William Feng's pairing looks odd. I find William Feng in that drama annoying as he plays a lovesick puppy.

But, in the The Imperial Age, the pairing between him and the female lead is awesome.

As well as in The Story of Ming Lan.

Bai Feng Yao is now Wan Jia Gui's 'widow'. That's why they are together because he has to marry her when he comes back.
